Oh man, look at those cavemen go – it’s the freakiest show
Life on Mars, David Bowie

Shot through with absurd humour, an ever-watchful eye and a touching naivety, In the bushes is our latest work.

It explores ideas around Evolution Theory, the Accidental Species* and the preposterous notion of human exceptionalism. Using our distinctive and meticulously-crafted choreographic language, we ask questions about stigma, shame and societal conventions. What exactly is it that we’re so embarrassed about?

Johanna Bramli and Ed Chivers splice their new electronic score with bursts of classical and operatic music.

In the bushes looks into our exposed and naked souls and celebrates our humanity with ferocious joy.
