Composer Series: Nico Muhly’s Drawn Lines

One of the most sought-after composers of his generation, the pioneering Nico Muhly, takes the reins in the third of Sadler’s Wells’ Composer Series. In Drawn Lines, three celebrated and diverse choreographers respond to Muhly’s contemporary classical music, played live by one of the world’s most distinguished ensembles, Britten Sinfonia.

Inspired by murder ballad The Two Sisters, Sadler’s Wells Associate Artist Michael Keegan-Dolan interprets dark folk-song arrangement The Only Tune. Eight dancers from his Ireland-based company Teaċ Daṁsa will be joined on stage by folk singer Sam Amidon and nine musicians.
